All sessions paid for in the packages must be used in that calendar month. All monies are non-refundable.

Do I need a doctor’s note or similar?

All clients must complete a PAR-Q before commencing any exercise programme.  This is a Physical Readiness Questionnaire which will be carried out in your free consultation, it will help to identify any health restrictions. If I do require a letter of ‘medical clearance’ from your GP, I will let you know.  Please be aware that your GP may charge you for this. All client information will be kept strictly private and confidential.

What if I need to cancel?

A minimum of 24 hours’ notice of cancellation is required for all appointments, so I can reallocate your session. Notice of less than 24 hours will incur full payment of the session fee. To cancel please either phone or text as soon as possible.

What if I am running late?

If you are running late for a session, please contact me as soon as possible and I will do my best to accommodate the delay. Please bear in mind this might not be possible and if I have sessions after, the session will have to be ended at the allotted time. If I am late for any reason, additional time will be added to the session or to subsequent sessions.

Training takes place at either Win gym Huntingdon 15 Clifton road, Huntingdon PE29 7ej

Or old school strength and performance gym st Ives 5 Caxton road, st Ives Pe27 3ls

What should I wear?

Clothes should be fit for purpose – comfortable and non-restrictive; Footwear should be comfortable and provide adequate support. If you are already a gym goer, then this will be more than appropriate.

Are you a qualified personal trainer?

Yes, I am a fully qualified personal trainer and can provide documentation if needed.

How long will it take to see the effects of training?

It is always very difficult to answer this question. It depends on several different factors such as how many personal training sessions you have, how willing you are to exercise by yourself and how committed you are. If you’re aiming to lose weight then nutrition will also play a huge role and your success will depend on how willing you are to introduce healthy eating habits into your lifestyle. Also, other factors such as stress, sleep and rest can affect your results. Generally, the sooner someone fully commits to their programme, the quicker they will see results.

What is your training style like? Will I be shouted at?

Definitely not. I coach my clients in a calm, friendly and empathetic manner.

Do I have to count calories?

Only if you want to! Everyone works differently and if you count calories then great! If not, there are several other methods I can use to help you. I am a big advocate of finding the right way that works for you!

Are you insured?

Absolutely! I have full Public Liability insurance and can provide evidence should you require it.

I'm a beginner, does this matter?

Not at all! I can cater to all levels ranging from complete beginners to those who are more experienced in exercise. I will never push you to do something that makes you uncomfortable and is beyond your skill.

Will it hurt?

One of the main principles of fitness is that of overload ie the body has to be subjected to stress of a slightly higher level than it is used to in order for it to adapt to this new level and thus improve fitness. However, because all of the schedules are individually designed and based on initial bench-marking fitness tests on you they will be aimed at your own ability and will start off at a level you are comfortable with and from which you can safely progress. So, no – the old adage ‘no pain, no gain’ is not correct to take advantage of the health benefits of exercise.

Do I need any equipment?

You only need to bring yourself, trainers and water to the session, all other equipment will be provided or on site.

How often should I have sessions?

As with anything in life, the more you put in the more you get out. I will work with you to find the right number of sessions per week/month to achieve your aims.
